The chances are it won’t get made because it doesn’t work well on shirts and the idea is a little obscure unless you have lived in Glasgow.

I use them for all the websites I’ve got running at the moment (4 of them) and usually they’re pretty good, their support is excellent – really quick and personal. I hope that this doesn’t signal the begninnings of them turning into a bigger, more expensive company.

Well, it was starting to rain and I didn’t have a jacket with me so I did what any loyal citizen would do and scampered across the road just before the three fancy cars with expensive plates drove along it.

Anyway, it was her what watches the rugby on her way from opening a couple of new buildings behind the medical building.

In a year’s time I’ll be about to graduate, as will Morven. We’ll know where I’m going to be teaching for the next year, Morven will be be looking for a job in the same area. Andy and Kat, who we were at the pub with will have vastly different prospects, but equally undefined. Andy will have another 4 – at least – years of uni, while Kat will be somewhere – Lossimouth? – far away from Glasgow in the RAF. Sobering prospects.

Anyway, today I wrestled with an essay that’s due on Friday, I just couldn’t get it out and I’m dtill not happy with it but I don’t know if I’m able to get it any better without doing a complete rewrite which I don’t have time for. On the other side of things though, Inventor is doing all the hard work for me at the moment regards design. If only I’d been introduced to it earlier I could have had all this done much sooner. This week we should be ready to put our files into the rapid prototyper and set it loose on a big part of our final grade. Neil and Krysia got their’s done last Friday which was pretty exciting, it’ll be good to see how it looks tomorrow.

Aside from working today I’ve managed to distract myself with a number of little projects revolving around flickr, in particular I liked this silly little idea while I was busy not typing up my most profound thoughts about formative assessment, and before I even got started today I went for a walk in search of something interesting to photograph, I’m not sure how interesting they are, but it was a reasonable little walk.

That’s exactly what caving’s like. If you haven’t seen it you should go an watch it if you;re a little unsure about coming along on a GUPA meet. Today was rubbish. Finished off an essay that’s been hanging over me, then spent far too long trying to find a schematic of a digital radio, and prices of different lathe tools.

Town being in this case the centre of Glasgow, but you can use it for any city centre with the same rough meaning – a horrible, built-up, seething mass of people with no awareness of what’s going on around them and laden down with bags. Going to town is such a tiring, distressing thing to have to do but there comes a time at Christmas when it is just about unavoidable. If I had been more organised I could have got away with not going.

I went in search of: a lemming, a tiny table and chair, and things that symbolise cheerfulness and enthusiasm. How many of them did I manage to find? One, almost.

I’m tired now and am very glad that tonight is a pub night. I need to vent some anger about people who can’t walk.

There isn’t much excuse for not knowing which your/you’re to use, or not knowing what the difference between past and passed is, not for someone who is studying for a degree*. Or am I being a bit harsh? Also when does she want it back for? Wednesday, Friday or the 13th? None of those things match up, at least not until next year.

*For anyone what spots mistakes in this post, their deliberate, okay?

Gordon had a run in with a ‘flowery’ pint at the weekend and didn’t like it. Deuchars isn’t the best pint in the world but it is a good ‘un. Real beer is something worth trying to find – it’s so much better than the usual lagers and there’s one for every occassion, The Real Beer Blog usually has bits and pieced to read but it’s been quiet recently. If you’re in Glasgow head to the Three Judges – it has loads of different beers to try. It’s worth it!
