John came to Islay 3years ago to provide us with the training required before you can buy the, then, Pro/Desktop CAD Package for £90 for 300 licences.
That was the main reason for going for it. Inventor is easier to use, sightly, and does a little more with light sources but costs a lot more.
Have a look at http://www.cadinschools.org/ for examples o what it can do.
I must say that Sketchup has really made the 3d modelling very accessable. In fact that has been the hardest part of using Sketchup is getting the pupils to move on from it as its so easy to use.</description>
