Another day at school

7:17 pm on the 23rd of March, 2006

I went in to my old school today for a wee visit and ended up staying until the end of play. I don’t like writing negative things here so if I have something negative to write then I don’t write anything. Now, that’s not to say that when I don’t write here for a while I only have negative things happening. It certainly doesn’t mean that my last placement at school was all bad. We have some guidance about what we should write – mainly being not to make anyone identifiable – so that is the main reason why I didn’t write much over the last placement. It’s a shame, really because I just didn’t have the time to write anything else here so the blog suffered. I wrote lots of things in other places though.

A long introduction to a post but here we are now, it was fantastic to be in school today. I mainly just popped in to see some of the models that they produce but with not knowing what time to go I ended up observing a few lessons – to have pupils actually be quiet when you ask was such a huge change from my placement. One thing that really stood out was the quality of the graphics work being produced in the third year. DGS would be a great school to work in, I don’t expect to be in this area though when I qualify because at the minute I’m going to tick the box.

Fool Moon

8:27 pm on the 14th of March, 2006

A lot of things were happening at school, which prompted more than one member of staff to hazard a guess as to the state of the moon at the moment, and would you believe it they were right!
