I can’t see why Gordon Strachan would take the Celtic job. He has the pick of any sub-Arsenal/Man U/Chelsea job in the Premiership, so why take a difficult job in a crappy league where if you come second, you’ve failed. If I was him, I’d hold out for Chris Coleman losing his job early next season.

I think I’ll leave the gloating for another format.

BUt on Strachan - the rumour mill is that O’Neill will stand down for a year to tend for his wife. Now his reason’s for standing down are entirely correct, and given that he won’t ever need to work again, I’d do exactly the same. But does he or he Celtic board seriously expect to be able to get a credible coach to agree to come in for one year only? It jsut won’t work. BUt I’d love to see them try…

I turned the radio off when Rangers scored, too nerve wrecking and potentially heart attack moments on the way.
