Apparently I should vote UKIP
1:59 pm on the 14th of April, 2005You get asked a few questions which could be taken any number of ways and they guess your political leanings. I’m not going to tell you if this is in anyway right but maybe you want to take the test yourself.

I think that represents my actual feelings towards parties fairly accurately.

That;’s bad news for you Stuart. That makes you a fascist, sort of.
I was given Lib Dems, which is better than UKIP if you ask me.
Shame Veritas wasn’t in there, you may have got them.

Sorry to break this to you, Lord of All, but UKIP far from being fascist are pretty much libertarian. They opposed the Iraq war and are against ID cards, so if you are against those too then that website gives you a higher “vote UKIP” score. So Stuart can breathe easy.

Interesting - I think it’s maybe weighting my European opinions too highly. My primary voting concern is the economy, and there was no questions on that. (The economy is about far more that taxation). The question on tax cuts/spending was a bit vague as well - how much spending/tax is surely a bit of a factor…
Anyway, I won’t take their advice, but is re-assuring that my lack of trust on Bliar isn’t solely down to my dislike of preaching style (nad have you seen a positive piece of Labour campaign material yet? Vote Labour, or you might get Michael, is the thrust so far.
Your actual outcome:
Labour -34
Conservative 20
Liberal Democrat 9
UK Independence Party 30
Green 23
You should vote: UK Independence Party
UKIP’s primary focus is on Europe, where the party is strongly against joining both the EU constitution and the Euro. UKIP is also firmly in favour of limiting immigration. The party does not take a clear line on some other policy issues, but supports scrapping university tuition fees; it is strongly against income tax rises and favour reducing fuel duty.

Well, maybe I am a facist then, my answers were not anti-war. Or maybe my European answers were given too much weight too.
