Hello Brian!

4:09 pm on the 2nd of March, 2005

It would seem my design lecturer has stumbled upon this site (presumably while he was busy researching quality design) it’s just as well I’ve always bitten my tongue when it came to writing about him (not that there’s anything bad to say), he always was the most likely to find it.

Dairy Free, Day 1

2:52 pm on the 2nd of March, 2005

I started last night with a bowl of Alpen with lovely soya milk but the real thing started today.
Some toast with jam for breakfast, sandwiches with ham and pickle for lunch followed by an apple and some crisps (where I fall down - the salt and vinegar crisps contain whey and lactose, ready salted from now on) and the plan for tea is some nice pork and apple stew - lovely, no milk there.

mild annoyances

4:15 pm on the 1st of March, 2005
  • missing out on a free first aid course worth ?180 because you only find out about it on Friday morning before it starts, not leaving enough time to arrange missing lectures and hand-in dates
  • having to replace your shoes because the heel falls off and your feet get wet and the laces snapped a while ago and there isn’t really enough left to tie them with and people are laughing at them
  • the doctor not being open when you want to find out about the vaccinations you need for going to South America
  • the battery running out on your electric shaver halfway through shaving in the morning and not being able to find the cable to charge it
