WP again

4:27 pm on the 28th of February, 2005

I’ve moved over totally to the new themes that came with the new WordPress now so there are a few things not quite right, given time I’ll tweak untill I’m happy with them.

My to do list
Permalinks are now pretty, and the label is the post title, I will add a link after the post as before. [done]
I’ve hidden the recently commented list, it may return but I think it loks simpler without it. (I could put it in a separate page if you like?) [done, on a separate page for now]
I’d like to tidy up the monthly archives so you can navigate between months.
I’ll add a link to the homepage from the other pages. [done, click the header graphic, I'm not usre that's clear enought though, what did you use before, would you prefer a link on the left?]

hmm, new font, new other stuff, old logo (good, keep that!) you’ve been playing I see.

What is the RSS 2.0 feed? Seeing as how i’m at work and don’t have time to follow the link, you could summate it?

Oh - and, I liked the recently commented list - How else would we have spotted Tanya’s re-occuring entries

How do I get back to the home page?

An RSS feed is just a simple page with an abridged version of another page, you wouldn’t read it yourself but get an aggregator to read it and it would highlight if the page has changed since you last checked. Firefox has a aggregator plugin available of if you prefer you could use an online one like Kinja.

It’s good for things like news sites and weblogs, things that get updated regularly.

OK. I see. I can’t use it at work then.

You could use kinja. At least, I would have thought so.

    Feck.

    Strike that.

Edit the plugin, uploaded - BINGO!

Cheers for pointing it out though.

Curious. According to last commented, dairy Free day 1 was last commented by Other Brother. But according to the post itself, Lord Of All. Me no understandy.

It was waiting to be moderated but was still being picked up by the recent copmments script

I see. As mine are available instantly, I can only assume your site recognises email addresses, meaning peopel like me can chat nonsense to their hearts content, while the casual visitor has to be vetted.

No doubt that explains your other half’s non-posting. She presumably objects to being vetted by a non-vet…sorry. You’ll be blocking me for that one.
