What is the better name?
3:04 pm on the 14th of December, 2004The Rocks or the Craig En Gelt?
The hotel which has possibly the best view of any property in Dunbar has changed hands and opened up as a restaurant a few days ago, and while I’m sure it’s much nicer now and serves far better food than before, is there still a pub? And why did they have to change the name? Anyway I can’t wait to go sometime when I get free of Glasgow for a wee while on Friday for Christmas.
Update: And now I work for them!, even design their website

I always thought the Craig-en-gelt was an odd name - hybrid Scots-French. Rocks-en-gelt or crag-en-gelt. I think. The Rocks sounds like a pub, but I believe it doesn’t have a bar.
We’re going to Peter’s Cellars tonite. A much better name.
You decided when you are coming home yet? Will the little lady be with you?

I don’t mind the name, it’s nice that they have done something with it. The Craig-en-gelt has been lying rotting for too long, so I don’t care what they do, as long as it’s a bit less stagnant.

Well, i think the name “The Rock’s” is very classy. They have also made a great job of the building and i wish them all the best.
