A beach near Elphin, with Suilven, Cul Mor and Cul Beag in the distance (I think)

It was a good weekend, only one day’s caving for me but that was pretty enjoyable, good food, good company, fantastic scenery when the mist occasionally cleared.
The best bit though, was one nobody got a photo of; on the walk to the cave there’s a bridge over a river made of big pipes that the water runs through held in place with concrete.
On the way in, the water was flowing along quite nicely - lots of air all the way through them, enough room for a couple of people to slide through without any worries. On the way back though the river had swollen somewhat so that there was a bit at the upstream side where there was no air in the end of the pipes.
We of course wanted to try out these unusual flumes, after a lot of sticking arms in the water and dropping big rocks through we decided it was too stupid an idea and started walking on, then realised that there was one person who would do it in the group behind so a couple of minutes later when he got to the bridge he had a quick look through one end and then just went straight in. 15 minutes later we’d all been through and had had a couple of games of pooh people.
