It knows I’m onto it

For the past year I’ve been confused. Every time I did a wash with socks I seemed to have an odd sock left over, I now have 8 odd socks sitting on my windowsill waiting to be reunited with their long lost brother - occasionally I could match up cousins successfully - but now the machine has taken a different tack and it’s stolen a whole pair this time. I’m sure of it, it must have thought I wouldn’t notice if a complete pair went missing but I know it’s game. Oh yes. It’ll have its comeupance, oh yes.

That was the week that was

So a lot’s happened in the week since I last posted, I had my birthday (thank you to everyone who got me stuff, gave me cards…), the Heir To All had his frist birthday, Bush won, and Berti resigned.

Then went on to blame everyone in the known world except himself and the devil. Today he has said the problem he failed was because of the mistakes made 15 years ago. He knew what he was getting himself into - after all everyone knew what state scottish football was in - but still blames his shortcomings on anyone other than that he can think of to save his reputation. It’s like a builder blaming his poor restoration of a building on the neglect it had suffered in the past rather than taking responsibility himself.

It’s that sort of logic that had been apparent throughout his tenure and bemused and disheartened every scot who once held hopes of an improvement. Now that he has left the post it’s time for him to come clean and save some of his dignity. Even if it was just to come out and say that the task was too big for him rather than persisting in passing the buck.
