It’s all a bit mixed up at the moment, Hearts are playing football at the home of Scottish rugby, Inverness CT have to play in Aberdeen, the Scottish football team was playing at Easter Road last night and the Scottish rugby team are wandering lost between Perth and Glasgow. Meanwhile, the Scottish Claymores have been told they’re moving to Germany.

I’m going to Hampden on Saturday, which may sound like I’m asking for trouble, after the way things have been going recently, but while I was tempted to get a cheap ticket to last night’s match I instead opted to go to the egg chasing instead, chances of Scotland getting another ton? About 100-8.

You forgot Dunfermline, who had to play their UEFA Cup tie at Perth, because the plastic oitch they installed with a grant from UEFA wasn’t compliant with the rules for the UEFA Cup. So UEFA encouraged Dunfermline to install a pitch they themselves won’t allow in one of their showcase tournaments.

It looked like a good game. Did you have a nice time?

It was good thank you. For a day it seemed as thoug I wasn’t in Glasgow but Edinburgh, the sky was blue, it was bitterly cold and around Hampden is much more like Edinburgh than most of GLasgow with it’s hilly bits and different style of house and more blonde sandstone than red. Oh, and the rugby was quite good too, though the atmospheree was rubbish - I think Hampden is too much like a big cavern - and we lost, but apart from that it was very enjoyable.
