O2=bad part IV

12:20 pm on the 14th of June, 2004

Last month they charged me for things they said they wouldn’t. I shouted at them and they said this month I’d be credited with the amount they took.

This month comes and they send me a bill, not only was the credit missing but they want to charge me again for things that they said they wouldn’t.

So I send an email asking what they’re playing at and get a very quick response saying that I have to pay. I send them a copy of an email from them last month that says I don’t and they’ve gone very quiet. Now I’ve also posted off an official complaint letter to them and arranged a new deal with Orange. I still have about a month to run on my contract with O2 but seeing as they’ve broken their terms then am I able to break it off early?

    dunno if you can break it off – they’ll say no. Have you tried Ofcom? (That way O2 could be fined if they’ve done wrong!)

    Oh I’m glad their customer services wind someone else up as much as me! http://clarie.lonemonkey.net/jibble/o2complaint.doc
    for details. I was wondering the same – I want to break off the contract but I don’t want to pay.
    Did you manage to do this?

    Well, I did manage to get the contract cancelled and transfer to another provider but just a few weeks ago I got a letter from a debt collectors, which is fun! I know nothing of any debt to them and neither do they but they want some money anyway. I’ll see what happens but I haven’t heard from them in a while.
