I'm with Vodafone, for reasons I can only half explain.

But first, you can take your fone number with you. You have to be willing to fill a form in, and maybe wait a couple of days, but mobile phone companies are no longer allowed to hold onto numbers.

Vodafone. The bill keeps going up, and what I get in terms of minutes/texts keeps going down.

I went with them initially about 4 years ago, cos they had the biggest footprint, at a time when there were huge discrepancies - Vodafone and BT Cellnet were about 10% of the UK population ahead of Orange, who left One-to-One trailing. The discrepancy is smaller now (of the big ones, don't know about 3-view, tho i like their adverts) , but I believe Vodafone still lead. And when I'm away, I seem to get a signal more than others on different networks.

I've stayed with them principally cos I used to get a free upgrade every two year. I don't now. But 'er indoors switched from O2 at Christmas to Vodafone, so it made sense to stay with them.

My biggest gripe is they didn't tell me my contract had expired, and was rolling month-to-month. I found out by accident. If you don't upgrade, contracts aren't worth it. So I paid ?40, got a phone with a camera and stayed for another year.

i almost ditched orange for o2 because of the online deals that they were doing. spoke to the orange disconnections dept and they offered me the exact same contract as i couldve got online with o2!

i first went with orange cos pretty much all of my mates were with them. less so now but ive bever had any problems with coverage or the service they provide, especially their insurance cover - i had about 4 replacement nokia 7110's totally free of charge and all next day courier delivered!

so orange gets my vote :)

I have Orange Pay as you Go. They aren't the worst company I have been with anyway.

When did you arrange your page into "rants", "general rubbish" etc.? Its good, I like it.

Orange definitely have better deals tan T-Mobile or Vodafone but they ain't quite up there with o2 online, but if they were to mtch what I have already then it would be fantastic. o2's coverage at home is useless and it's pretty poor in Glasgow. And they're lying theiving twunts

And Lordy, you should see this post, again.
How many categories do you think is healthy? I've found it's pretty hard to pidgeon hole myself but it does make finding post a lot easier

And so I get a reply from 02. They say that I don't get any free media messages. I say I do. The problem they have though is that I have it in writing from them that I do.

That would mean that I am entitled to a refund wouldn't it? Can I sue them? That would be fun and I could afford to go to a decent ntwork.

Well, I'd be careful about being right before taking them to the small claims court.

Try here As the ombudsman, they should be your first port of call. They may say you have to put your complaint in writing to O2 first - this may involve sending O2 a copy of your proof in writing.

Ombudsmans are good. I was being given the run around by Scottish Power when we moved. Essentially they kept sending me bills for my old flat, even though I'd given them a closing meter reading. Emails ignored, promises broken, a real tale of woe and incometence. One week after an email to the ombudsman, including copies of previous emails to Scot Pwer, all sorted, compenstaion chq for ?60 received. I wish I'd asked for more. I based on my request for ?60 on time, what I get paid, inconvenience, etc. They were so quick, I think I could have had more.
