Is that ET’s spaceship coming back to pick up the grown-up Elliot and family? Elliot is drinking from a can of juice? I’m surprised that hasn’t been in the news more.
Either that or it is indeed Will Young at the SECC. You’d have enjoyed that.

You know that he is a secret McFly fan he really wants to see them live

They do look a little like McFly. If he doesn’t tell us who it is soon, I’ll start to suspect that thats who it is.

poor, very poor, for a start big bruv, I’ve already told you it was Saturday night and Franz Ferdinand were Sunday. I don’t know what Franz Ferdinand are like but I’ve not heard good things, maybe you could send me a copy to prove me wrong?
As far as McFly go, then I admit, I was a bit of a fan of Budsted but I’ve gone off them since McFly came to my attention. For fairly obvious reasons I think.
It wasn’t Will Young.
It wasn’t the Barras.
And it wasn’t ET, I’m afraid. Close though
Perhaps another clue, I’m not going to tell you where it was because that would give it away but I’ll tell you where it wasn’t, it wasn’t Arran.

Ever the boring literalist, might I guess that it was Snow Patrol at the QMU?
I don’t really know much of their stuff, but am constantly told good things. As for Franz Ferdinand, I’d have given my right arm to be there(mind you, am left-handed).
Cheers,
Derek.

godammit!!
you’re not supposed to get it right!
I suppose I have to write a review now do I?
I think it was Graffito who said : I’d give my arm to be ambidextrous

He’s just making that up to cover for the fact that he was at the McFly Gig

Franz Ferdinand - early Talking Heads crossed with Sparks - 70’s retro, but more New Wave than punk. It’s nice. Different from a lot of stuff just now. I got it on the same day that I finally got round to getting the Strokes 2nd album and the Snow Patrol one (i know, it’s about their 3rd - you loved their previous albums long ago).
Now a good way I have of testing how i like an album is how long it stays in my cd player, and how long it is before it returns. A month later, FF are still in there, the Strokes lasted a couple of weeks, Snow Patrol about the same, but I’ve put the Strokes back in.
I tried to love Snow Patrol, really i did, I liked it, but, well, they’re from Glasgow aren’t they? They pal around with B&S and the Delgados, and would love to be the Fannies or the Pastels. But (I feel a Stuart rant coming on), much as I liked their album, it didn’t grab me like their mates do. Just too - earnest.
There, I’ve said it.

No, no rant coming, I’ve nothing new to say about it really, you’re entitled to your opinion as much as anyone else. All I have to say is that Stuart Murdoch got on my bus on Tuesday night, he didn’t say hello - too busy talking to the girl he was with.
