I went to see this last night, the first film I’ve seen in ages. It was really good and even if you think you despise Jack Black I would still say you should see it because, well, because I liked it. OK, so it’s not the best arguement but I’m not a film critic. It had a few good jokes, some good other funny bits, a decent story and wisely side-stepped the possibility of a romantic involvement.
I still haven’t seen Touching the Void though.
It’s something that one day will get me into trouble I’m sure. I can’t help but take people completely literally.
Whenver I hear a news story about a tragic death or similar I find it very difficult not to take the news reader literally when they say ‘Mrs Jones lost her husband in a car crash…’ and always I reply something along the lines of ‘how very careless of her’.
Anyway, this seems to be what has happenned in Russia :

Oh, and a warning, if you ever see me after I’ve sat an exam, don’t ever ask how I found it because you WILL get the response ‘It was just sitting on the desk when I walked in to the hall.’
