Me too.
I can’t help it. I just cannot want Englands football or rugby team to win any major tournaments. In the case of the footy team, I don’t mind them winning the odd match, but they media gets unbearable after a while. As for the rugby team, well, I just don’t think I should start. I’ll never stop, see.
Oddly enough though, I couldn’t care if Engands cricket team won every game they played. Strange.

It’s well known that the bbc’s impartiality goes out the window in major finals. (I was listening to 5 live). And the itv don’t even try (pum!). But who cares. It’s rugby. A sport played semi-seriously by only 4 major nations - australia, south africa, france and the UK. (New Zealand only becomes a major nation if you’re listing the top fifty). In none of the major nations is it the number one sport. England, the biggest part of the UK, won the world cup at the fifth attempt. Well done. The law of averages mean it was overdue, and it’s surely France’s turn next. Why get excited?
