Maybe I’m being naive in asking this but surely the two arguments are made up, these aren’t real people are they? Please tell me before I make a real fool out of myself. And by the way I agree with Sir Arthur Spatchcock’s points, even if they are put in a ridiculous way.

on tonight’s drubbing

3:48 pm on the 30th of April, 2003

I heard that tickets would be available for tonights Scotland game against Austria at Hampden would be on sale at the gate, which made me wonder when I went to a game last, and I think it was Scotland v Croatia almost 2 years ago. Tickets tonight start at just ?10 so might yet go if I can find someone who doesn’t mind going to watch such a potentially dire match. Perhaps one reason the famous Hampden Roar isn’t much of a whimper now is to do with fans not being able to find out how to get tickets through the SFA’s site - it’s awful. It looks like it’s based on the design of tickets and has approximately 4025 images layered over it with tiny text on the top. And as for the navigation…

A horrific game but somehow very satisfying with the soothing music that accompanies it. My best juggle so far is 12, haven’t worked out how to get style points though.
I’m sure you’re all glad I fill my time so productively.

Tacoma Narrows Bridge

9:28 pm on the 29th of April, 2003

I’ve just spent the last wee while looking up the Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster after we’ve been doing oscillations in Physics. Some of you will know it was a suspension bridge that collapsed spectacularly in 1940 in Washington.
I saw a film with footage when I was in school so figured that it would be easy to find it online but it seems that it isn’t and infact would cost me $65US at the Tacoma Camera Shop but it does give you a quick preview which demonstrates how much it twisted.

what do you think?

Whether Falkirk should be allowed into the SPL is to be voted on on Thursday. It’s preposterous that they wouldn’t be allowed in, the rule about having a stadium with 10000 capacity is just stupid in a time when the average SPL attendance outside the Old Firm is something like 8500. It seems like the rule is only there to protect the current members from bankruptcy ie. Motherwell. And it wasn’t that long ago that they were proposing Motherwell merge with Airdrie to save them both from going bust.
I don’t know, it all sounds stupid to me. What about you?

On the 12th of April this year I went up Stob Dearg and Stob na Broige with my dad and Morven. you can see the photos here or you can go to the new photolog and have a look at some other hills I’ve climbed recently

The photolog is dead, long live the photolog

4:03 pm on the 25th of April, 2003

It is with regret that I announce the retiral of the old photolog. It gave at least two months good service but unfortunately due to the curent financial climate and the photolog’s increasingly eccentric behaviour my working relationship with it was untennable. A new photolog which has been chosen from a long list of applicants is, I can assure you a much better option and has promised to behave appropriately, it is fully functional already. see the link on the left.
