In an act of considerable bravery, Andy Flower and Henry Olonga released a statement that dared to criticise the social, economic and political plight in their country. As the Zimbabwe opening batsmen went to the crease to begin their innings against Namibia, Flower and Olonga were simultaneously announcing that they would wear black armbands for the duration of the World Cup as an act of political objection.
“In doing so,? their statement concluded, ?we are mourning the death of democracy in our beloved Zimbabwe. In doing so we are making a silent plea to those responsible to stop the abuse of human rights in Zimbabwe.?

And another thing that I found elsewhere (I have no ability to find this stuff by myself, I only pass on whatever other people have found, it’s a bit like a chain letter or even spam except that you have to come find it rather than it seeking you out and taunting you with ‘you have 8 unread messages’) was this, I don’t know if I like it. It sounds like it would be nice but then if you want something chocolately then have chocolate, and if your sprog doesn’t like water then tell them they aren’t going to get any food if it has water in it. That’ll learn them.

why isn’t it snowing anymore? i want more snow, no more slush. and why do they grit after it’s been snowing? it just makes it harder to walk on than snow and it’s all dirty looking. and it gets your feet wetter that snow. and you can’t throw it at people without getting in trouble.and this is quite a rant isn’t it? i’ll get a reputation if i’m not carefull…
