BBC NEWS | UK | At a glance: Census results
My prediction:
32-19 to Scotland
I am of course talking about the rugby on Sunday.
Tonight’s score will be:
2-1 to Ireland.
Update: I didn’t see the game but I half listened to the radio, was it really that bad? Did the team show any passion, or desire to win this time, that at least was something Brown’s teams showed most times they played. Vogts’ teams so far look like they couldn’t care less about the result whenever I’ve seen them.
In an act of considerable bravery, Andy Flower and Henry Olonga released a statement that dared to criticise the social, economic and political plight in their country. As the Zimbabwe opening batsmen went to the crease to begin their innings against Namibia, Flower and Olonga were simultaneously announcing that they would wear black armbands for the duration of the World Cup as an act of political objection.
“In doing so,? their statement concluded, ?we are mourning the death of democracy in our beloved Zimbabwe. In doing so we are making a silent plea to those responsible to stop the abuse of human rights in Zimbabwe.?

I start my new little module course type thing tomorrow, should be good. we’re doing An Introduction to C, and at the end of it I’l have a nice shiny game that’s hopefully similar to minesweeper
This has been mentioned elsewhere already, but it amuses me so it’s getting a mention here as well : CNN.com – Liechtenstein for rent – Feb. 7, 2003
Something else that keeps getting mentioned all around the place is referral logs:
Mine aren’t that interesting but I was wondering how a little rubbish post where I complain about having to wait outside during a strike for a little longer that usual is the first result for a search for ‘firefighter strikes’. It made me wonder… so I did some research : googlefight
The results were pretty much how I had expected them to be.
And another thing that I found elsewhere (I have no ability to find this stuff by myself, I only pass on whatever other people have found, it’s a bit like a chain letter or even spam except that you have to come find it rather than it seeking you out and taunting you with ‘you have 8 unread messages’) was this, I don’t know if I like it. It sounds like it would be nice but then if you want something chocolately then have chocolate, and if your sprog doesn’t like water then tell them they aren’t going to get any food if it has water in it. That’ll learn them.

Now all we need is for this to happen.
“we’re looking for 2 reporters amongst you to come to Glasgow and spend some time with the band in a series of personal and probably unexotic locations.”
“Tell you what, if you are keen, write and tell us in less than 200 words why you might like to be chosen for this particular project. Aside from the fact that we”ll get you here, put you up in a nice hotel, take you out for a slap up dinner and probably get you pissed.”
