so. i had my maths exam today. it wasn’t too bad actually, it wasn’t nearly as bad as last years papers.
there were a few questions where i think i got stupid answers but the workings were all right most of the way so i should get marks for that
a couple of questions i was absolutely stuck on and the rest i pretty much just motored through set methods and got fairly reasonable answers.
i’ll just have to wait and see, i know i got enough to be allowed to take the resit if i need to but then that isnt much to boast about is it?
Just to warn you in case you were planing on phoning me next year at all, my plan so far is to be living in a flat somewhere in Glasgow with Stuart and Stuart.
That’s Stuart Hunter and Stuart Hunter McIntyre by the way, in case you thought I meant Stewart Murphy or Stuart Rodger.
“Hello, is Stuart there please? It’s Stuart.” …
very worthwhile though

or more specifically i hate maths exams.
it’s on wednesday (i think – i’d better check that one out) and i’m not loking forward to it one bit.
maths and me have always had the same cyclical relationship – i don’t understand it, i can’t do it, i work hard as hell at it and get nowhere, i sit an exam or a test in it, i either scrape a pass or fail, i suddenly click and understand it all but just that little bit too late, i start learning harder maths, i don’t understand it, i can’t do it…
i hate maths.
i often think it hates me too.
it doesn’t help that i’m feeling a little bit ill today, there’s been a nasty flu going round recently, i hope i’m not getting it. maybe it’s just that i was out last night…
congratulations to littleboy over at nu-prod and his lady friend on their news
this debate was raging in the pub last night :
mars bars or bountys?
the answer is obviously mars bars, isn’t it?
(well, it would be drifters but we’re not concerning ourselves with anything but these two bars)
also, another question that we haven’t been able to get a definitive answer on is: who recorded ‘(heart) i just died in your arms tonight’, was it cutting crew or foreigner? or both?
i had tought that it was only done once, by cutting crew, i have it on Now 8 (it’s not mine really) but it was a song where you had to get the name of the artist in the pub quiz the other week and it was aparently foreigner – even though it sounded exactly the same as the version i know.
can anyone help to resolve these vital matters?
We had a Burns Supper at halls on Thursday and then a ceilidh with the best ceilidh band ever (Chulainn – I can’t find a homepage), it was a good night but it wasn’t Burns Night, and it is today. The hall president read For A’ That and A’ That which has to be the best poem ever. I remember doing it in higher English. Anyway click more to read it, go on, you know it’s worth it.
