I missed most of this game but from what I can tell Dailly and Weir were to blame but even so Vogts shouldn’t be saying that is what he thinks.
“They were at fault for the two goals against us. It was not the young players.”
He needs to get the team playing with some passion, get a bit of fire in their bellies. Fair enough there might be a language problem preventing him from making inspirational speeches but then you could never imagine Craig Brown doing that and we always looked proud to play under him. I was certainly not Brown’s number one fan but at least his teams looked competent and interested, even if the formation resembled something like 6-3-1

standards really are slipping here, not a single post since friday! i’ve been away all weekend climbling my dad’s last munro and while i was there i took loads of photos that i’ll have to sift through and publish sometime, also i’ve been told that i have to make some of the blackpool photos available, even thought the place really is the holiday resort of the devil. i’ll get that all done soon. it’s my last day of work tomorrow so normal service will be resumed soon however possibly not here, i’ve been looking into conversant and i may be moving to that from blogger but maybe not, i don’t know, we’ll see…
There haven’t been many posts recently because of work and loads of other things so the look of the site has been pretty shoddy for the last week or so. However a wee bit here and a wee bit there has meant that the templates have been remade and are all now working (almost) exactly as I want them (a few tweaks here and there still needed).
Another thing that had been making the site look a bit war wounded was the demise of Netcomments, the free service that some guy called Jonty ran, had used up all of it’s bandwidth and had been looking for a new host since last Friday, Jonty is now MIA, hasn’t been seen or heard from since Wednesday so I have decided to leave netcomments for now and go over to a new service called enetation, it seems to be OK except I’ve already noticed that the system seems to be quite busy, you just have to hit refresh untill you get lucky…
Anyway getting back to the point I was going to make at the start of this post; I have been working far too much lately, (starting at 8 then hard work through till 5) but it sounds like Duncan Smeed is doing the oppostite :
I thoroughly enjoyed the manual labour - it made a change from my normal sedentary work.
Oh, what I would give to be doing sedentary work ![]()
Well, it’s the weekend everyone in Scotland is trying not to be too optimistic about:
BBC Scotland believes that Vogts will play with four strikers as he aims for goals in Toftir Stadium on Saturday.
Hopefully it won’t be ’strikers’ like Craig Brown chose the last time we played them when he played Matt Elliot up front.
As a fan of The Dave Gorman Collection I had to watch last nights latest offering from the bearded one himself : My Important Astrology Experiment. Sure enough it didn’t disappoint. I’m already setting the video for next weeks episode to find out what happens…
