I’ve just received an email from Don Ledingham, my old headmaster, congratulating me on starting a blog. I haven’t had anything like that from any of my family yet, I’m considering divorcing my brothers and sister…
The rain’s just come on so i don’t think I’ll be going in to work tonight. This years pay from the fruit farm has been pretty small because of all the cancelled shifts due to rain. I should have offered to build them a website to make a little extra cash, still I might get to have a shot at driving a tractor when we start harvesting.
With Mozilla still downloading and broadband a long way off making it to the sleepy little town of Dunbar that is my home at the moment the next best thing seems to be BT Home Highway which was recommended to me by Grahame Smith of Lothian Computers so I’m going to plug this to my parents.
I don’t think they’ll go for it though, especially as I’m just about to move through to Glasgow Uni. However i will be able to get fast internet there with them installing data point in every room in their halls. 
I’m in the middle of downloading Mozilla right now for no real reason than to try something new. I’ve never had any problems with Internet Explorer but then maybe I’ll have no poblems with this.

i’ve just added Stuart’s weblog to blogtree.com, i’m sure duncan smeed will be pleased to see that i’ve cited duncan’s jotter as the parent, even though this might not last much longer than a month…
i’ve just been playing about with the templates that are available and settled on this, tried to increase the text size for posts and didn’t really get anywhere. oh well, maybe i’ll make my own page if ican be bothered.

hmm, I’m just finding out about blogs so i don’t really know what i’ll use it for but maybe someone’ll find it interesting in the future. i found out about weblogs from my grammar school headmaster who had just heard about them from a lecturer at strathclyde uni who also happens to be the dad of someone who was in my year. take a look: http://duncan.smeed.org
