woo-hoo! always good when a big team gets beaten like this : BBC SPORT | Man Utd suffer shock defeat
What a fun day at the farm it was today, I got to clean out the grain dryer! There was me standing on a rotten wooden platform 20 ft above a concrete floor sweeping up bird crap and really stinking wet grain. Guess what - I get to do the same sort of thing tomorrow. It should be a bit better though because I’m getting a shot of driving a tractor before harvest starts.
I’ve been thinking about getting a digital camera for a while now but ‘m not really sure what I need or how much I can afford to spend but the FINEPIX F601 DIGITAL CAMERA from FUJI look like a good deal, is it? I dunno…Jessops Online - My new camera?
I’ve just opened my exam results, and all the work I put into physics since the prelim must have paid off, I hadn’t really been sure what I would get but wasn’t hopeful. But anyway it was ok:
Advanced Higher Physics = C
Higher Graphic Communication = A
Higher Geography = B
These results didn’t really count for anything sice I had an unconditional offer from Glasgow University already but there was still a little shake in my hands as I opened the envelope.
Somebody is using what should be my domain name for a site dedicated to TV test cards : meldrum.co.uk but it doesn’t look like anyone has stuartmeldrum.com , i’ll have to look in to it
Today’s Chari– Today’s Community Sheild Result I think reflects the way the Premiership is going to go this year, Arsenal retaining the title with Liverpool coming a close second. One player no matter how good isn’t going to bring the championship back to Old Trafford, especially if he gets injured :
BBC SPORT | Football | Slick Arsenal win Shield
BBC SPORT | Football | Rio blow for Man Utd
It took much longer than it should have (mostly because the huge expanse of nothingness in my head where there should be HTML knowledge) but I’ve managed to add in permalinks. The counter disappeared through no fault of my own - it was the damn computer I tell you! Bloody Front Page, the sooner I get Dreamweaver on this machine the better!
Thanks to the bloggers help pages and the guy at Netcomments.co.uk you can now add any comments to my postings. Why isn’t everyone like the guy at netcomments? Everything should be free, Bill Gates should just be happy that he’s come up with a new program and want to share it with everyone for nothing!
What do you think?
Other than Duncan’s Jotter one site that got me blogging was warchalking.org. I read about it in The Sunday Times a few weeks ago. Apart from it being a really cool idea what really got me was the way it took off, one guy mentions it on his weblog and within days he’s doing TV interviews with the BBC.
The basic idea is to develop a sort of sign language that could be chalked on buildings to let passing geeks know that there is a wireless network nearby that they are welcome to use access the internet.
